Russia will try to create new crises in Europe – OP

To achieve a better negotiating position, Russia can organize terrorist attacks or create a new migration crisis, Podolyak believes.

Russia will try to manage new crises in Europe to improve its negotiating position. This was said by the adviser to the head of the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak in an interview with The Hill.

In his opinion, to create a crisis, Russia can send a large number of migrants to the borders of the European Union and plan terrorist attacks on infrastructure facilities.

Russia’s goal, Podolyak believes, is to improve its negotiating position or achieve other benefits for itself.

The OP also believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin is focusing on a war of attrition.

“They will begin to manipulate moods behind the scenes, incite war fatigue,” the adviser to the head of the Office of the President emphasized.

Podolyak added that Ukraine needs more weapons to turn the tide of the war.

Experts believe that Putin’s decision to increase the size of the Russian army indicates that the Kremlin is preparing for a protracted war.
