Denise Brown, UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Ukraine, during her visit to Dnipro equated Ukraine with Russia in the context of the civilian killings in Chaplino. After a missile attack by Russian war criminals on a railroad station in the Dnepropetrovsk region that killed 25 people, Brown called on “all parties without exception” to respect international law.
This is stated in a statement published on the website of the United Nations in Ukraine.
All parties, without exception, must adhere in good faith to their obligations under international humanitarian law and at all times ensure that citizens are protected, their homes remain intact, and essential services continue, Brown said.
The UN humanitarian coordinator for Ukraine also said that she was shocked by the attacks on August 24.
Children were killed during this attack and they died in places that were supposed to be safe, in their homes or while traveling with their families. Yes, they should have been safe, and they weren’t,” Brown said.
She also mentioned the intense Russian shelling of Zelenodolsk and Nikopol in recent days.
It is worth noting that Denise Brown’s statement actually equates Ukraine with Russia and to a certain extent resembles the scandalous report of the human rights organization Amnesty International, which on August 4 stated that the Ukrainian military, holding back Russian war criminals, endangers the civilian population. The Office of the President then pointed out that only the Russian army threatens the lives of Ukrainians, and AI statements are nothing more than a tool in Russia’s discrediting campaign against Ukraine.
