The Russian invaders demanded surrender from Ukraine on the third day of a full-scale invasion.
So, on February 26, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov received an ultimatum from Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu demanding that he sign a surrender. The ultimatum was given by the Minister of Defense of Belarus Viktor Khrenin. And on February 22, Reznikov was talking on the phone with a horseradish who promised that the occupiers would not break into Ukraine from the territory of Belarus. This is written by the American newspaper The Washington Post.
He gave the word of an officer, he turned out to be a liar, – the publication quotes the head of the Ministry of Defense.
The next negotiations took place two days after the invasion. The Belarusian minister was nervous and passed on messages from the shoig.
If Ukraine signs the act of capitulation, then the invasion will stop, said the horseradish at the time.
Reznikov replied that he was ready to accept surrender from the Russian side.
Recall, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on August 24 congratulated all citizens on the 31st anniversary of Independence and said that the war with Russia would end only with the victory of Ukraine, and any concessions or compromises were excluded. The head of state stressed that Ukraine does not sell its land and people.
