Agents of the Russian Federation tried to get a job in the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
SBU counterintelligence detained two agents of the aggressor country who were trying to collect intelligence about the supply of Western weapons and ammunition to Ukrainian troops. To do this, they tried to get into the ranks of the logistics units of the Ukrainian army. This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
Investigators have established that the traitors are residents of the Vyshgorod region, who contributed to the Russian troops during the temporary occupation of part of the Kiev region. These malefactors actively participated in the so-called filtration measures and looked for Ukrainian patriots among the locals who resisted the invaders. It also turned out that the collaborators tortured a young guy because he helped the Ukrainian army to identify equipment and locations of the Russians.
After the de-occupation of the Kiev region, the traitors continued to work for the enemy. They even tried to get into the Ukrainian army in order to transmit information to the Russians about the routes of movement and the locations of Western weapons. One had already signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while the others planned to get into the ranks of the territorial communities of Kyiv.
However, counterintelligence exposed their plans in a timely manner and documented their criminal actions. During the searches, components for improvised explosive devices and communications equipment were confiscated from them. Investigators have already informed the detainees about the suspicion of high treason committed under martial law. The court chose the detainee as a measure of restraint in the form of detention.
Recall that the Security Service of Ukraine detained an agent of the Russian Federation, who, at the beginning of a full-scale invasion, “spent” more than 120 units of infidel equipment from the Sumy region in the vicinity of Kyiv.
