The Russian Federation’s war against Ukraine has been accompanied by the biggest migration crisis since World War II.
Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began on February 24, nearly a third of the country’s 44 million people have been forced to flee their homes. This was reported on August 23 by DW in relation to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The UNHCR statement underscores that this is the biggest migration crisis since the end of World War II.
It was also mentioned that a “big test” awaits the people, because it is not clear how long the war will last, and what awaits them in the winter.
Remember, according to the UN on August 3, more than 10.3 million people left Ukraine during the war.
The EU announced the stabilization of the refugee situation
