The Pentagon plans to finalize a contract for the production of ten Switchblade 600 drones for Ukraine. This was reported by Defense News on August 22, citing the department.
As indicated, the corresponding agreement may be signed in early September.
The US Department of Defense noted that in connection with the upcoming counteroffensive in southern Ukraine, the Switchblade 600 could play an important role in attacking Russian troops and equipment.
“This Switchblade capability could be useful as the Ukrainians prepare an offensive against Kherson and Crimea. Drones can be launched out of range of Russian systems and damage Russian infrastructure, ” said the article.

Recall that in the spring of this year, Washington handed over to Kyiv a hundred Switchblade 300 tactical unmanned aerial vehicles designed to destroy small target points. At the same time, new drones are more powerful weapons.
