Tyson Fury may face Oleksandr Usyk as early as December 17 in a mega fight to unify all heavyweight division championship belts.
The Daily Mail writes that the fight will take place in Saudi Arabia the night before the World Cup final in neighboring Qatar.
This fight is expected to have an even bigger prize pool than the fight between Usyk and Joshua on August 20, when each of the boxers earned about $40 million.
On the night of August 21, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk defeated Briton Anthony Joshua for the second time in a fight for the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight championship belts. The previous battle in September 2021 ended with Usyk’s victory on points, Joshua took advantage of the contractual right to a rematch.
WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1; 23 KOs) after the victory of the Ukrainian world champion in WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO and The Ring Usyk in a duel against Joshua spoke obscenely about both boxers.
He posted the corresponding post on Twitter:
Just watched the fight. Both were crap. It was like a fight between superheavyweight children. Complete bullshit. Both boxers were fucking crap. The Gypsy King will stay here forever,” Fury wrote.
