The Russian FSB said it had already “solved” the murder of Daria Dugina.
The Russian special service claims that “the perpetrator of the crime is a citizen of Ukraine Volk Natalya Pavlovna, born in 1979, who arrived in Russia on July 23, 2022 together with her daughter Shaban Sofia Mikhailovna.”
The Russian FSB stated that “the crime was prepared and committed by the Ukrainian special services.”
They rented an apartment in the house where Dugina lived in Moscow. A Mini Cooper was allegedly used to spy on Dugina. The numbers on it were changed three times – they used the license plates of the DPR, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
On the day of the explosion, Volk and his daughter allegedly came to the Tradition festival. The FSB writes that “after a controlled explosion on August 21, they left through Pskov for Estonia.”
There are actually a lot of questions to this version, they write in the Center for Counteracting Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council.
Here is one of them: from Moscow to Pskov 9 hours by car. And it is still unknown how many hours at the border. If the FSB officers identified the perpetrators so quickly, then why didn’t they close the border during this time.
Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, stressed that Ukraine had nothing to do with the undermining of Russian propaganda Dugina.
The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security also warns: Ukraine has nothing to do with the murder of the daughter of the ideologist of the “Russian world” Alexander Dugin, but this did not stop the FSB from blaming the Ukrainian woman Natalya Vovk for blowing up her car.
Such accusations are unsubstantiated and are part of the information war. In particular, thanks to them, the Kremlin is trying to increase the degree of hatred of ordinary Russians for Ukrainians. Especially against the background of failures in the occupied Crimea. This is not the first time that Russia has been trying to divert attention from its crimes in Ukraine with high-profile information drives. However, we should not forget that real terrorism is the shelling of civilians, the killing of prisoners of war, nuclear blackmail and the attack of Russian agents on a military plant in Albania, the Center writes.
Recall that on the morning of August 21, the Land Cruiser Prado, driven by 29-year-old Daria Dugina, exploded on the move, drove into a fence and burned down. She died on the spot, the wreckage of the SUV was scattered all over the road.
The first version of what happened was the explosion of a gas cylinder, but at present, law enforcement officers are inclined to believe that an improvised explosive device went off under the bottom of the car. If this version is confirmed, then it is possible that Alexander Dugin himself was the target of the assassination attempt.
