The ratings of Scholz and his government have fallen to record lows

27% of Germans are currently satisfied with government activities, 65% are dissatisfied. If the chancellor had been directly elected, Scholz would have finished third.

The approval rating for the actions of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and his government fell to a record low, writes Bild.

According to the latest poll, only 25% of citizens are currently satisfied with Scholz’s performance as chancellor, while 62% are dissatisfied – the largest negative number during his tenure.

If the chancellor had been directly elected, Scholz would have finished third, with 25% choosing Economy Minister Robert Habeck (Greens), 19% CDU leader Friedrich Merz and only 18% Scholz.

The rating of Scholz’s Social Democratic Party is also falling. Since the Bundestag election, it has fallen in the polls from first place to third with a rating of 19%, trailing the CDU (28%) and the Greens (21%). The Free Democrats coalition has 8% support.

This means that the support for the government in the HDP, Greens and Free Democrats only reaches 48%.

The rating of the Right Alternative for Germany remains unchanged at 12%, the Left party is supported by 5% of Germans. The rest of the parties together get about 7%.

Recall that since the beginning of June, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has been blocking Ukraine’s requests to continue the supply of weapons, Die Welt reports, citing sources in the Ukrainian government.
