In Kropyvnytskyi, the head of the SBU department in the Kirovograd region, Alexander Nakonechny, was found dead. This was reported on Sunday, August 21, by the local publication Grechka, citing the head of the press service of the SBU, Yulia Tkach.

“The SBU and the State Bureau of Investigation are studying all the circumstances of the death of the head of the Security Service in the Kirovograd region. After the information is fully collected and analyzed, we will inform the society. We express our sincere- heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Alexander Semyonovich Nakonechny,” said Yulia Tkach.
In turn, Andrei Lavrus, a deputy of the Kropyvnytskyi District Council, wrote in Telegram that Alexander Nakonechny committed suicide.
“Sources in law enforcement agencies confirmed the information and gave details. According to the initial version, the colonel was in the residential area and fired a shot in the head from a pistol. He died on the spot from the wound of a gun,” Lavrus wrote.
It is known that Alexander Nakonechny has been the head of the SBU department in the Kirovograd region since January 2021. Before that, he served in counterintelligence for two years and worked for more than ten years in the department for fighting corruption and organized crime in the Kiev department of the SBU.
Earlier, 76-year-old FSB Major General Yevgeny Lobachev was found dead in Moscow. The body was found in the stairwell of the house, next to it was a Tokarev self-loading pistol.
