The restoration of the 23-kilometer section of the railway was carried out by railway workers in a short period of time – in just one month.
In the south of the Odessa region, railway workers restored the Berezino (Ukraine) – Basarabeasca (Moldova) railway section. Already on August 22, the railway connection between these stations will be launched – bypassing the self-proclaimed Transnistria. This was reported on Sunday, August 21, by the publication Passenger Transport, citing the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Moldova, Andrei Spina.
On August 22, the movement of trains, mainly cargo, will begin on the restored section of the railway Berezino (Odessa region) – Basarabeasca (Moldova), which ceased to function completely in 1997. The restoration of this section of track with a length of 23 kilometers was carried out by railway workers in a short time – more than a month, the report said.
It was mentioned that thanks to the restoration of a 22-kilometer track section through the territory of Ukraine and a 1-kilometer section on the territory of Moldova between the Berezino-Basarabeasca stations, a rail connection will be launched both with existing section from Belgorod-Dnestrovsky to the port of Izmail, and to the port of Reni.
