Enemy attacks were successfully repelled in many directions, Russian troops retreated to their former positions after an unsuccessful attack.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published a summary of the military invasion of the Russian Federation on Saturday evening, August 20.

In the direction of Seversk, the invaders fired mortars at the units of our troops on the borders of Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

In the direction of Kharkiv, the enemy concentrated its main efforts on holding occupied positions, firing from cannon and rocket artillery in the areas of settlements of Karasovka, Velikiye Prokhody, Chernyaki, Peschanoe and Pechenegy, launched airstrikes near in Prudyanka and Verkhny Saltov, conducted. aerial reconnaissance near Russian Tishki and Zolochev .

In the direction of Slavyansk, the enemy is concentrating his main efforts on continuing offensive operations, shelling from cannon and rocket artillery in the areas of the settlements of Aseevka, Gusarovka, Chepol, Protopopovka and Dovgenkoye. An airstrike was launched near Zaliman.

The invaders conducted offensive battles in the direction of Brazhkovka – Novodmitrovka, Suligovka – Novodmitrovka, Brazhkovka – Vernopolye and Dovgenkoe – Kurulka. The Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicted losses on the enemy and threw him back.

In the direction of Kramatorsk, the enemy opened fire from cannon and rocket artillery in the areas of Kramatorsk, Razdolevka, Pinagtalunka, Zvonovka and Raygorodok. An air strike was launched near Ivano-Daryevka.

The invaders tried to attack in the direction of Controversial – Ivano-Daryevka and Nikolaevka – Vyemka, but did not succeed.

In the direction of Bakhmut, shelling from tanks, cannon artillery and multiple rocket launch systems was recorded near Mayorsk, Vesela Dolina, Bakhmut, Kodema and Belogorovka. In addition, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of the last three settlements.

Through offensive actions and attacks, the attackers tried to improve the tactical situation in the directions of Stryapovka – Soledar, Pokrovskoye – Bakhmutskoye, Pokrovskoye – Bakhmut, Vershina – Zaitsevo, Vershina – Kodema, Maiskoye – Zaitsevo, Maitsegorye – Zaitsevo, Maiskoye – Kodema but received a strong rejection.

In the direction of Avdeevka, the enemy opened fire from tanks and artillery of various types near Avdeevka, Kurakhovo, Krasnogorovka, Sukha Balka and Nevelskoye. Inflicted air strikes near Vodiane and Marinka, conducted unsuccessful offensive battles in the direction of Gorlovka – Mayorsk, Spartak – Poprosnoye, Donetsk – Sands, Staromikhaylovka – Pervomayskoye.

In the direction of Novopavlovsky, the enemy shelled the areas of settlements of Pavlovka, Elizavetovka, Novoselka, Ugledar and Novomikhailovka. He led an offensive battle in the direction of Blagodatnoe – Zolotaya Niva, without success, retreated.

In the direction of Zaporozhye, the enemy is trying to stop the advance of Defense Forces units. He conducted shelling from tanks, cannon artillery and MLRS in the areas of the settlements of Velikomikhaylovka, Shevchenko, Gulyaipolskoye, Shevchenkovskoye, Novoandreevka, Novopol, Olgovskoye, Shcherbaki, Burlatskoye and Stepnoe. Enemy aircraft operated in the areas of Belogorye, Zheleznodorozhny, Maly Shcherbakov and Malaya Tokmachka.

In the direction of Yuzhnobuzhsk, the enemy is concentrating his main efforts on maintaining the occupied areas and preventing the actions of the Defense Forces. He tries to improve the tactical situation in the direction of Nikolaevsky. He conducted shelling from tanks and artillery of various sizes near Nikolaev, Ukrainka, Aleksandrovka and fifteen other settlements. Conducted an air strike near Olgino. Leading an offensive battle in the direction of Vasilki – Blagodatnoe.

Earlier it was reported that Russian troops shelled the Dnepropetrovsk region four times during the night. The regions of Nikopol and Krivoy Rog were set on fire.
