US will continue to help Ukraine – Blinken

The total amount of military aid allocated to Ukraine by the United States during the administration of President Joe Biden exceeded $10 billion.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said the United States would help the people of Ukraine “as long as necessary.” On Friday, August 19, the State Department said in a statement.

“The courage and strength of Ukraine’s military and its people are extraordinary, and the United States will continue to provide Ukraine with additional systems and capabilities to maximize impact on the battlefield and strengthen Ukraine’s position at the table of negotiation

As we approach the six-month mark of Russia’s unopposed and brutal all-out war against Ukraine, President Putin’s forces continue their offensive, causing heavy civilian casualties and widespread destruction of civilian infrastructure,” the statement said.

Blinken assured that Biden is determined to “support the people of Ukraine in defending their country from Russian aggression as long as necessary.”

It can be remembered that US President Joe Biden signed a decree allocating a new package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of $755 million.
