The trial of a young man who entered Windsor Castle on Christmas Day to kill Queen Elizabeth II continues.
In the UK, 20-year-old Jaswant Singh Chaila, who on Christmas Day wanted to kill Elizabeth II with a bow, went on trial. This was reported by Metro.
It was mentioned that in the territory of Windsor Castle, a young man in a hood and a mask was noticed with a loaded Supersonic X-Bow crossbow. He said to the guard: “I am here to kill the queen,” who at that moment was in her quarters.
He was then handcuffed and taken into custody before being transferred to a high-security psychiatric hospital, where he is currently being held. It is known that the assassination attempt on Her Majesty Jaswant has been in preparation for a long time. He tried to join the Ministry of Defense Police and the Grenadier Guards in an attempt to get closer to the royal family.
Prosecutors said he wanted revenge for Britain’s treatment of Indians and planned to kill 96-year-old Queen Elizabeth.
The incident took place more than six months ago, but the young man’s trial continues. He is under investigation and has yet to admit his guilt.
It was previously reported that Elizabeth and Prince Charles met with health workers and presented them with the National Health Service’s George Cross.
