PrivatBank revealed blatant violations of the law by the courts, which ruled in favor of the bank’s former owners.
The Supreme Court of Ukraine allowed the Mir Hotel in Kyiv to be taken over by the state-owned PrivatBank in favor of the former owners. This was announced on Wednesday, August 17, by the bank’s press service.
“Despite flagrant violations of the law by the lower courts, the Cassation Economic Court as part of the Supreme Court completed the raider scheme of the former owners to deprive the state-owned PrivatBank of a multimillion-dollar property in Kyiv,” the bank said in a statement.
It is noted that the decision was made by the court consisting of presiding judge Bulgakova AT.Ang. and judges Lvov B.Yew. and Selivanenko VP
“It is very sad that even during the war, such decisions are now being made in the country and properties are being taken out of the possession of state-owned companies. We will continue to fight against the former owners, we will force, if not. in Ukraine, then in America and England,” said the member. of the Supervisory Board of PrivatBank Roman Sulzhik. He also expressed confidence that PrivatBank will win.
Earlier it was reported that the ex-wife of the former owner of PrivatBank sued for $ 17.5 million. The court upheld the decision of the Dnipro District Court, according to which the funds in Elena Bogolyubova’s deposits cannot be converted into bank shares, as the ex-husband is allegedly not related to the ex-husband.
The legality of the nationalization of PrivatBank was confirmed in the Supreme Court
