In Dnipro, two Dnipro residents were exposed and reported on suspicion of illegally using humanitarian aid for profit during martial law. This was reported by the Office of the Attorney General.
According to the investigation, volunteers of the charitable foundation established a mechanism for the implementation of humanitarian aid received from the Republic of Poland. They systematically benefited from the sale of food and personal hygiene products imported for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Dnieper territory. To store humanitarian aid, the men rented storage facilities, and later sold them. During the investigation of the crime, law enforcement officers recorded the sale of humanitarian aid – food in the amount of 850 thousand hryvnias.
Currently, both are imprisoned pursuant to Art. 208 Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation. The issue of selection of suspect measures – custodial detention is decided.
During searches of the residence, cars and rented warehouse of the detainees, six tons of food, hygiene products, computer equipment, mobile phones, and cash in the amount of almost 2 million hryvnias were found and confiscated.
Earlier, law enforcement officers, as part of the investigation of criminal proceedings on the facts of the illegal use of humanitarian aid in the regions of Chernihiv and Nikolaev, exposed the facts of the illegal sale of goods of the military.
