Until now, wealthy Ukrainians could also receive social assistance, now their financial situation will be taken into account when considering applications.
In Switzerland, when considering applications for social assistance, the financial situation of refugees in Ukraine will now be taken into account. This is reported by SwissInfo.
It was noted that so far, more than 60 thousand people from Ukraine have come to Switzerland and received protection status S, which allows them to receive social assistance and also work in the country.
Until now, wealthy Ukrainians could also receive social assistance, but last week the cantonal authorities responsible for social benefits agreed to tighten the rules so that a refugee’s income and property are considered even if they were received in Ukraine or in Switzerland. .
If persons with S status withdraw funds from bank accounts in Ukraine or acquire other assets there, these funds must be taken into account when assessing their income. The only exception is the car, as it is necessary for getting home.
Remember that Germany is introducing new rules for Ukrainian refugees. Until August 31, Ukrainians are allowed to stay in Germany, regardless of the use of a visa-free regime or deportation.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic were denied free medical insurance.
