In June, New Zealand provided another $4.5 million to purchase additional non-lethal equipment and supplies for the Ukrainian army.

New Zealand is preparing a military aid package to Ukraine. The amount of aid will be announced on Monday, August 15, by the country’s Minister of Defence, Peni Enare, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Forces, Air Marshal Kevin Short, reports The New Zealand Herald.

It is noted that in February and March 2022, the New Zealand government announced the allocation of several million dollars to the UN Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine and the UN Refugee Agency.

In March, $5 million worth of military aid was sent, which included bulletproof vests, helmets and equipment.

In April, the country’s government sent a C-130H Hercules transport aircraft and 50 support personnel to Europe for two months, and also allocated another $13 million for military, humanitarian and legal support.

In addition, a separate team of eight logistics specialists of the Defense Force was sent to support the international coordination center for assistance to Ukrainian refugees in Germany.

And in May, up to 30 members of the Defense Forces were sent to the United Kingdom to help train Ukrainian troops in the use of the 105mm L119 light field gun.

In June, New Zealand provided another $4.5 million to purchase additional non-lethal equipment and supplies for the Ukrainian army.

Recall that New Zealand has imposed additional sanctions against the Armed Forces and the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.

It was also reported that Denmark will allocate 110 million euros for military aid to Ukraine.
