In addition to civilian homes, the invaders hit cultural heritage sites, shopping malls, schools and other non-military targets.

Since the start of the massive offensive, Russian troops have hit 22,000 civilian targets in Ukraine and 300 military targets. This was announced on Sunday, August 14, by First Deputy Interior Minister Yevgeny Yenin.

“We see the numbers: more than 22,000 civilian targets have been hit and only about 300 military targets. We see how cruise missiles fly directly into nuclear power facilities, we see enemy missiles that hit critical infrastructure facilities, chemical production,” the official said.

At the same time, he noted that the invaders also hit cultural heritage sites, including religious buildings, shopping centers, and schools.

“Anything can become an object of missile and bomb strikes by Russian troops,” Yenin stressed.

Earlier, the Center for Counteracting Disinformation informed the National Security and Defense Council that the Russian military is 60 times more likely to strike civilian targets in Ukraine than military ones.
