The authorities of the Transcarpathian region have banned residents from visiting the forests.
“I encourage everyone to stop walking in forest belts and observe fire safety measures,” said Viktor Mikita, head of the Transcarpathian OVA, in his Telegram.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and the police will search for people who may have been involved in the fire.
