How many Slovak fighters Ukraine will receive is not exactly known. It was previously reported about 11 cars.

Slovakia will next month stop using its MiG-29 fighter jets, which it plans to transfer to Ukraine, Defense Minister Yaroslav Naj said, according to local RTVS TV channel on August 13.

In July, it was reported that Slovakia planned to transfer 11 aircraft to Ukraine by the end of August. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will likely receive them in September.

In return, Bratislava will receive money from the European Union or military equipment from NATO. Naj did not give any details, but stressed that the value of the fighters is in the hundreds of millions of euros.

The MiG-29 fighter is a fourth-generation Soviet multipurpose development. It is designed to destroy all types of air targets with guided missiles and fire from an onboard gun in simple and difficult weather conditions, as well as to destroy ground targets.

Earlier it was reported that the Turkish company Baykar plans to produce in Ukraine not only the Bayraktar TB2 and Bayraktar Akıncı drones, but also the Bayraktar Kizilelma unmanned fighter.
