Due to the ineffectiveness of the attack on Azovstal, to which 1,500 Ukrainian soldiers were allegedly deployed, it was proposed to use “chemical troops” there.
Eduard Basurin, a representative of the so -called “people’s militia” of the “DPR”, said that the Ukrainian defenders of Mariupol should be blocked at the Azovstal plant, and then chemical weapons should be used there. Basurin’s corresponding words on Monday, April 11, were quoted by the Russian media.
Commenting on the report that there were at least 1,500 Ukrainian fighters in the Azovstal area, Basurin suggested a plan to attack them with the help of “chemical troops”.
“There are floors underground, so it makes no sense to take this thing by storm. Because you can put a large number of your soldiers, and the enemy will not suffer losses like this.
Therefore, once it is necessary to deal with blocking this plant, find all the exits and entrances – in principle, it can be done. And after that, I think, turn to the chemical troops, who will make way to smoke the moles in their holes, ”Basurin said.
As is well known, chemical weapons, including nuclear and biological weapons, are classified as weapons of mass destruction and are prohibited by some international treaties.

Recall that today the General Staff reported that communication with the Mariupol defenders was maintained.
The Azov Regiment continued to firmly defend Mariupol
