Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko can provide volunteers who will fight against Ukraine as part of Russia’s army of war criminals, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. However, the risks of Belarusian citizens entering the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine are still minimal.
I would say that the danger of entry (Belarusians into the war – ed.) is minimal. But there are two other aspects that we should also not forget. The first point is that the enemy is still shelling our positions from the territory of Belarus, in particular, the Sumy and Chernihiv regions are periodically subjected to rocket artillery fire, – Rostyslav Smirnov, adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, said on the air of the telethon.
Another scenario, according to him, is related to the fact that now the possibility of a more serious attack remains, since Iskanders are concentrated 35-40 km from the borders, including on the territory of Belarus, and their missiles can fly into side of Ukraine.
And another one. We see certain possibilities that Belarus itself will not enter (into this war – ed.). But it can provide volunteers, its own military, who will be part of Russia’s battalion-tactical groups. By and large, formally they will be volunteers who will be under the command of the Russian General Staff, but de facto we understand that they will be Belarusians, – said the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs.
Recall, on August 5, the representative of the National Guard Ruslan Muzychuk said that there was no formation of shock groups on the border with Belarus.
