Ben Wallace noted that the Russian Federation’s “three-day operation” had been going on for almost half a year and was accompanied by heavy losses.
British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is betting that Ukraine’s allies will tire of supporting Ukraine by August, but now he is unlikely to invade the country. This was reported by The Guardian.
He noted that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has failed while Western allies are pledging to increase financial and military support for Kyiv.
“They (the Russians – ed.) have not yet succeeded and are unlikely to succeed in conquering Ukraine. Their invasion is lame and changed to such an extent that they are really concentrated only in the southern and eastern parts, very, a far cry from their three days of so-called “special operations,” Wallace said.
According to him, the “three-day operation” has been going on for almost half a year with huge losses.
“President Putin bet that in August, in a few months, we will all be tired of the conflict, and the international community will be scattered in different directions. Well, today proves otherwise. We left the this meeting (Copenhagen conference, – ed.) with greater promises of funding and military aid, all to help Ukraine win, help Ukraine assert its sovereignty, and really ensure that the President’s ambitions are thwarted Putin in Ukraine.”
We will remind, Putin previously said that the Russian Federation allegedly has not seriously started a war against Ukraine.
