Potalathe historic lamas palace in Lhasa (southwest), the Tibetan capital, has closed its doors to the public amid a surge in COVID-19 infections in the region in HimalayasThis was reported today by local media.
Regional authorities have confirmed 22 positive cases in the past 48 hours and are tracing more than 400 close contacts of those infected who have been isolated.
Tibet have not recorded cases of COVID-19 infection for more than 920 days.
