The extra shipment of aid from the Australian government included anti-tank weapons and ammunition.
Australian authorities will provide another $ 20 million in military assistance to Ukraine. This was stated by Ukrainian Ambassador to Australia Vasily Miroshnichenko, RBC-Ukraine reported on Monday, April 11.
According to him, additional assistance from the Australian government includes anti-tank weapons and ammunition.
“For Australia, this is a big step forward. In addition, they provided assistance in the amount of $ 70 million. This is the fourth package or quantity provided,” Miroshnichenko said on the air of the all-Ukrainian telethon.
The ambassador also spoke about Australia’s progress in relocating 20 Bushmaster armored personnel carriers worth $ 38 million for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The first batch of vehicles has already been shipped to Ukraine, and the other vehicles will be “soon to be delivered.”
It will be recalled that last week Australia imposed sanctions against 67 Russians because of the war in Ukraine. Among the new Russian sanctions was Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, called the “butcher of Mariupol.”
