Russian media and Telegram channels report a series of explosions near a military airfield in the village of Novofedorovka near Sak.
Photos and videos have emerged showing the aftermath of the explosions.
According to media reports, tourists and local residents began to flee en masse from Novofedorovka, located on the Black Sea coast, and traffic jams formed at the exit.
The head of the Crimean occupation administration, Sergei Aksyonov, confirmed the fact of “several explosions in the Novofedorivka area,” but did not indicate their reasons.
The Mash Telegram channel, citing eyewitnesses, reported that ammunition depots and the runway were on fire in Novofedorovka. According to eyewitnesses, there were ten explosions.
At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry has already stated that the explosions were allegedly caused by the detonation of aviation ammunition.
Several aircraft munitions detonated at the bunded storage area, the ministry said. – According to the report from the site, there was no fire impact on the bunded ammunition storage area at the airfield.
