Currently, gas enters the Latvian single market zone and can be transported to Finland, Estonia or Lithuania.
Gas deliveries from Russia to Latvia have resumed a week after Russian Gazprom stopped transporting fuel. This was confirmed by the system operator Conexus Baltic Grid (CBG), Sky News wrote.
Gazprom said in July it was cutting gas supplies to Latvia, accusing the Baltic country of violating supply rules, but the gas currently flows through the Latvian single market zone and can be transported to Finland, Estonia or Lithuania.
Latvia has decided to completely abandon Russian gas from January 1 next year.
It was previously reported that the Latvian parliament has banned gas supplies from Russia.
