The President also stressed that Ukraine, despite all the efforts of the Russian Federation to destroy it, is defending itself and responding to strikes. At the same time, Russia is making excuses and denials, trying to shift responsibility, lies about the Bucha killings, about Kramatorsk, about every destroyed city of Ukraine, about every burned village.

Moreover, Zelensky commemorates the twelfth anniversary of the plane crash near Smolensk, which claimed the lives of Polish President Lech Kaczynski and members of the Polish elite. The Ukrainian head of state expressed solidarity in Warsaw.
Finally, the president said that 18 defenders of Ukraine have received state awards, awards of heroes: five servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, three liaison officers of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, and ten cops.
Earlier, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier announced the need to call Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to the war crimes tribunal.
