The parties also discussed further measures to strengthen Ukraine’s economic and military stability.

The mining of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and the shelling of this object by the invaders have all the signs of nuclear terrorism on the part of the Russian Federation. This is what Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said in a meeting with US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink.

“The whole world must unite to prevent a catastrophe. We rely on the support of our partners to stop the aggressor as soon as possible,” the prime minister said.

He also informed the American partners about the Government’s efforts to create a new program with the International Monetary Fund. Shmyhal emphasized the need to increase the pressure of sanctions on the aggressor, recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism and adopt appropriate legislation to confiscate Russian fixed assets and transfer them to the restoration of Ukraine.

In addition, the parties discussed further measures to strengthen the economic and military stability of Ukraine.

In a meeting with the US Ambassador, Shmyhal also told him about the preparations for the most difficult heating season in the history of Europe.

“We are counting on the full help of partners in the purchase of Ukraine additional volumes of gas,” the head of the Cabinet of Ministers stressed.

Recall that the Russian invaders have mined the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and are threatening to undermine it. The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmitry Lubinets, called on the UN Secretary General and IAEA to send a security mission to the Zaporizhzhya NPP, which was captured by the Russians.
