Until August 31, Ukrainians are allowed to stay in Germany, regardless of the use of a visa-free regime or deportation.
In Germany, from the beginning of September, they will start keeping records of visa-free days during which Ukrainians stay in the country. TRAVEL RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to a document from the German authorities.
It is reported that changes have been made to the rules for the stay of Ukrainians who left for Germany to escape the war. Until August 31, Ukrainians are allowed to stay in Germany regardless of the use of the visa-free regime or deportation, but those who have exhausted the visa-free regime by September 1 must leave the country within 90 days or have a temporary protection registration to continue to be legal in Germany.
If the visa-free stay period ends on or before August 31, you must apply for temporary protection in Germany before September 1. Ukrainians whose visa-free stay in Germany ends between September 1 and December 1 must also apply for registration.
“If you have Ukrainian citizenship, crossing the border into the federal territory should be simplified and there should be no bureaucracy. To do this, you need to register immediately after entering Germany, for example, when applying for a permit on residence at the immigration authorities. Thus, a stay in Germany should be possible for all affected persons for 90 days without a residence permit,” the document said.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic were denied free medical insurance.
And in Poland, refugees from Ukraine have been granted the right to cross EU borders using the Diia.pl electronic document.
