The detainee’s attempt to enter the region is now evidence of Russia’s involvement in activities to destabilize Kosovo.

Russian woman Daria Aslanova was detained at a border crossing in northern Kosovo. He was accused of espionage. This was announced on Saturday, August 6, by the Minister of Interior of Kosovo, Celal Svechla.

According to him, the attempt of the prisoner to penetrate the region, when the conflict in the Balkans worsened, indicates the participation of Russia in the activities to weaken Kosovo.

In addition, Svechlya said that they knew that Aslamova participated in the battles in Ukraine, promoting the invasion of Russia.

“Many countries have confirmed that he was spying for Russian military intelligence and acting under the guise of a journalist,” the minister wrote.

The Russian woman will be detained until authorities know the purpose of her visit.

As reported, since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Federation has lost 50% of espionage opportunities in Europe – EU countries have expelled more than 400 officials of the agencies of Russian intelligence.
