Residents are asked not to leave the shelter, but to close windows and doors inside the house. If necessary, use protective masks soaked in soda solution.
Near the village of Rubizhne in the Lugansk region, the Russian occupiers entered a tank with nitric acid, which caused the release of acid. This was announced on Saturday, April 9, by the head of Luhansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai.
“Again a chemical attack … Near Rubizhne, the orcs re-entered a tank with nitric acid,” Gaidai wrote.
He asked the people not to leave the shelter, but to close the windows and doors inside the house. People are also advised to prepare protective face masks soaked in soda solution.
Effects on humans: nitric acid is harmful when inhaled, ingested and in contact with skin and mucous membranes.
Acid vapors irritate the respiratory tract. In mild poisoning, there are signs of bronchitis, mild bronchiolitis, dizziness, drowsiness; in severe poisoning – pulmonary edema. To protect against nitric acid vapors and mist, gas masks are used.
Recall that a few days ago a similar incident occurred in Rubizhne: a Russian shell hit a tank with nitric acid.
And now, large fires have occurred in Lisichansk due to the shelling of the Russian Federation.
