After a two-year hiatus. Oktoberfest is back in Germany

First held in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria to Princess Therese, Oktoberfest has been canceled dozens of times throughout its history.

After a two-year hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Germany will host the world’s largest beer festival, Oktoberfest. AR reports.

According to the head of the festival, Clemens Baugertner, the event will be held in the Bavarian capital without any restrictions from September 17 to October 3 – Germany’s national day.

It is noted that this year a mug of beer with a volume of one liter costs from 12.60 to 13.80 euros (12.84-14.07 US dollars), which is about 15% higher than in 2019.

Also, the festival will be attended by approximately 487 beer breweries, restaurants, wine sellers. As for the opening hours, it will be longer than in the past, with the first beer tents opening at 9 am and closing at 10:30 pm. Last orders are accepted at 21:30.

It was earlier reported that in Britain, 60 people spent more than two days in an institution due to heavy snowfall covering the region.
