The Chinese army is using the latest weapons, showing determination to “solve the Taiwan question once and for all.”

The People’s Liberation Army of China (PLA) continues “unprecedented” military exercises around Taiwan, which began on August 2 in connection with the arrival of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on the island. Global Times reported

On Wednesday, August 3, China’s military conducted maneuvers using the latest weapons, including the J-20 stealth fighter and DF-17 hypersonic missiles.

The Chinese military will also conduct “significant training activities”, including live firing, at six key areas in the sea and airspace surrounding Taiwan.

“The exercise is unprecedented because it is expected that PLA missiles will fly over the island of Taiwan for the first time, PLA forces will enter the area within 12 nautical miles of the island, and the so-called median line will not that exists,” the publication writes, citing military experts.

According to them, by besieging Taiwan, the Chinese army is “completely blocking the island, showing full control over mainland China,” and “rehearsing a future military plan to resolve the Taiwan issue. “

“This is the first time that the PLA will launch long-range artillery in combat in the Taiwan Strait,” the article emphasized.

Chinese authorities were previously reported to have warned airlines to avoid six areas of airspace around Taiwan in connection with the exercise, which will last until August 7.

It can be remembered that Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan caused a negative reaction from China, which considers the island as its territory.

In response, Beijing imposed trade restrictions on Taipei and began military maneuvers and missile launches in the region.
