The President of Ukraine believes that the situation in these regions is compounded by one factor – “an inefficient architecture of global security.”
World conflicts, especially in the Balkans and Taiwan, arise because of an ineffective global security architecture. The world must develop a model that will guarantee that no country will show aggression against another. This is what President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his speech on Wednesday, August 3.
“First – the Balkans, then – Taiwan, now perhaps the Caucasus … All these situations seem different, although they are united by one factor, namely: the global security architecture does not work. If it is worked, there would not have been all this conflict,” – considered the head of state.
According to him, Ukraine has been paying attention to security issues not only since the beginning of the Russian invasion, but for many years.
“Since Russia has completely ignored international law, the interests of humanity have been absolute,” he stressed.
The Ukrainian leader added that in this sense, 2014 was a turning point.
“Then, in the completely clear situations in Crimea, Donbass, with the downed Malaysian Boeing, Russia avoided immediate and tangible responsibility – it kept business and political relations in the world. And now many of the international relations believe that they will succeed,” Zelensky believes.
He also added that today the people of Ukraine have united the entire free world – not only in their struggle for freedom, but around the understanding of how fragile the freedom of every person in Europe and in other country in the world.
It will be recalled that the plane with Nancy Pelosi landed at Taipei’s Songshan Airport on Tuesday, August 2.
Pelosi’s trip to Taiwan was also commented on by the leaders of China and the United States. Washington claims to support the “one China” policy, while Beijing calls recent events a “provocation.”
On the eve of the situation on the border between Serbia and Kosovo was aggravated due to Pristina’s decision to impose a ban on the entry of cars with Serbian numbers and documents issued in Serbia from August 1.
The NATO Mission in Kosovo (KFOR) is closely monitoring the Kosovo-Serbian conflict and is ready to intervene if regional stability is threatened.
