Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmihal signed a decree on the mandatory evacuation of the population of the Donetsk region.
The document was published on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers on August 3.
The reason for the evacuation is the destruction of gas pipelines in the region and the inability to heat it in the winter.
They intend to take people out of Donbass to safe areas in Vinnitsa, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Transcarpathia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovograd, Lvov, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy and Chernivtsi regions.
Earlier in Kyiv, they announced the need for mandatory evacuation from uncontrolled regions. The government cited the lack of heating and gas in many areas involved in hostilities or occupied by Russian war criminals as one of the reasons for this.
Meanwhile, in the Rivne region, they are preparing a plan for the evacuation of the population in the event of an invasion from the territory of Belarus – evacuation points will be created in the territorial communities, first of all, people will be taken out of the border Sarnensky and Varashsky districts, the Rivne OVA noted.
If there is a threat of the need to evacuate, local residents will be promptly informed.
