For the sixth year in a row, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv has become the leader among all higher educational institutions in Ukraine.
The information source Education.ua presented the rating of higher education institutions (HEIs) in 2022. The twenty leaders include the universities of Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Odessa, Sumy, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Vinnitsa, Kropyvnytskyi and Dnipro. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science on Wednesday, August 3.
The leaders of ZVO by regions are: in the west of the country – Lviv National University. Franko, in the South – Odessa National University. Mechnikov, in the North – Sumy State University, in the East – Kharkiv National University. Karazin, at the Center – Donetsk National University named after Vasily Stus (now works in Vinnitsa).
For the sixth year, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv became the leader among Ukrainian universities.
The list of agricultural universities is headed by the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management. The head of the pedagogical higher educational institution is the Drohobych State Pedagogical University named after Franko. Lviv National Medical University named after Daniil Galitsky is recognized as the best medical educational institution in Ukraine. ZVO in the “art” category is headed by the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.
The rating is based on national rankings of educational institutions in Ukraine: Top-200 Ukraine, Scopus and EPE Ball for the contract, each of which uses different criteria for ZVO assessment.

Remember, the CWUR Center for World University Rankings has published a list of the best educational and scientific institutions in 2022-2023. From Ukraine, five scientific institutions and one higher education institution are included in this list.
In addition, the ranking of the best universities in the world, compiled by the Times Higher Education magazine, includes 10 Ukrainian universities.
