There are no technical reasons for reducing gas supplies through the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline, the Chancellor said.
The repaired turbine for the compressor station of the Nord Stream gas pipeline is located in Germany and is ready for use. This is what German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said after inspecting the turbine on Wednesday, August 3.
“At Siemens Energy, I saw with my own eyes: the repaired turbine is there and ready to use at any time. All that is needed is a request from Russia. Therefore, there are no technical reasons for reducing supplies of gas,” the German Chancellor said in a statement on its website. Twitter.
In this regard, the CEO of Siemens Energy, Christian Bruch, said that the participation of Gazprom is necessary to deliver the turbine to Russia.
“We need the participation of the client – Gazprom. It is not yet available. Therefore, we cannot provide this turbine, which has been here for more than a week,” explained Bruch.
Earlier this week it became known that Russia refused to use a gas turbine arranged by Siemens Energy.
Meanwhile, Gazprom reduced gas supplies through Nord Stream by 1 to 20% of capacity – 33 million cubic meters per day.
