The Ukrainian was detained in Poland for suspicion of participating in the explosion in Nord Stream.
Citizen of Ukraine Vladimir Z. was detained in Prushuk. The man who was searched by the European order was transferred to the district prosecutor’s office in Warsaw. The extradition procedure is expected in the near future. This was reported by RMF24.
As the lawyer of the detained Timotheus Proptsky said that there is no reason to extradite Ukrainian to Germany. And there is no way to levy from anyone who participated in the explosion.
The lawyer noted that the Northern Streams belong to Russia, and the profit from gas pipelines goes to war against Ukraine. It is also not known whether the detainee participated in this explosion.
We recall that the explosions on the Northern Streams occurred on September 26, 2022 and seriously damaged both gas pipelines. A few days before the gas pipeline route there was a ship of Andromeda, which was rented by a Polish company with owners from Ukraine.
At the end of August, the 49-year-old Ukrainian Sergius Kuznets was detained in Italy, who was accused of participating in gas pipelines. And the German police identified everyone who participated in the Nord Streams explosion in 2022. The investigation believes that four divers, explosion specialist, skipper and group took part in the Baltic Sea.
