Civilized countries are different from the wild ones they never started the first one. But that doesn’t mean they are weak, the President said.
Ukraine’s international allies and partners do not have to be afraid to respond to Russia’s actions in the same way as it acts. And if Moscow threatens Kyiv by blackout, then in the capital of the Russian Federation they must understand that they can also be left without light. President Vladimir Zelensky said in a briefing on Saturday, September 27th.
Thus, the head of the state was asked what influenced the change in US president Donald Trump’s view of Ukraine.
“I shared with him some visions. The facts on the battlefield. And some visions of what could happen. And I believe that there is an influence on Russia. And you don’t have to wait for soft steps from Russia to Ukraine,” Zelensky replied.
According to him, Ukraine must respond to Russian actions, respectively.
“You don’t have to be afraid of it. And you don’t have to be careful in rhetoric with the” Russians “if they threaten. I think the same rhetoric should be in civilized countries. To be civilized with no sense – it seems to me it’s a mistake.
He remembered that the Russians were determining the goal for themselves to soak Ukraine in blackout.
“If Russia destroys and sets a blackout in Ukraine, and sets this goal every winter – I’m not sure that the answer from us and other partners should be different. Russia must clearly know that civilized countries are different from the wild fact that they did not start the first and not aggressors. But it doesn’t mean they are weak,” said the President.
Zelensky emphasized that there is no need to show weakness.
“If they threaten, for example, the capital of Ukraine, then they should know in the Kremlin that there will be a blackout in the Russian capital,” he completed.
Remember that in recent days, Russia has strengthened attacks on energy facilities in Ukraine. Today the regions of Chernigov, Sumy and Kherson are most affected.
Also this week, the Russians raided energy objects in Winnitschin.
