Two-thirds of the population of the Donetsk region left the region after February 24, and about 250,000 people remain. Such data was given by the head of OVA, Pavel Kirilenko, on the air of the telethon on Tuesday, August 2.
According to him, in two days, on August 1 and 2, almost 230 people were evacuated.
“Since yesterday, the train started running (evacuation – ed.). People were taken in specific conditions with an understanding of where they were going and with all the necessary payments. It was 134 people. It was in Kropyvnytskyi. Today this movement continues, it is 95 people,” – he specified.
Kirilenko emphasized that people who “ultimately do not want to leave” remain in the region, adding that “no one will be forced to change.”
Recall that on July 30, the mandatory evacuation of residents of the Donetsk region was announced before the beginning of the heating season.
In the Russian Federation said that the acquisition of the Donetsk region “is going according to plan”
