NATO will put a shock brigade on the border with Russia – Media

In the north of Europe, a new NATO shock force was created, designed to strengthen alliance defense near the borders along with Russia. This was reported by the Finnish publication that Iltalehti has a reference to NATO resources.

It has been mentioned that the basis of the new brigade of 4-5 thousand military personnel located near Finnish Lapland will be the warriors of the Swedish machine Norrbotten Brigade. This subsection specializes in hostility in winter conditions and includes five battalions and units.

The armament, including the Swedish self -propelled Howitzers Archer with a firing of up to 50 km, is located in Lapland. In the event of a conflict, British fighters Eurofighter and F-35, as well as Apache helicopters, will provide support.

Finnish army forces in the north of Finland are represented by a hunting brigade and the Eatuu Brigade. In northern Finland, directly next to the Nato Lapland Brigade, about 5-7 thousand Finnish soldiers can be an ongoing basis.

It is noted that they are all together with an equal military number with Russian army units in this direction.

According to publication sources, the NATO Command in Europe has approved a joint plan for the General Sweden and Finland staff, providing that it is the Swedish military that will be the main part of the So -called Finnish Brigade. If the tension in Russia increases, the units move quickly to the Finnish territory.

Military Norway and Denmark also joined the Brigade. Great Britain is limited to the transmission of binding and the transfer of experience of their NATO Brigade work to Estonia, where British and French are already participating in the Estonian division.

Remember that the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Ruben Bremelmans said Russia was actively preparing for a possible armed conflict with NATO, which, according to experts, could start until 2030.
