One of the two arrest warrants for Laodicea, suspected of bringing stolen food from Ukraine, was withdrawn by the Lebanese prosecutor.
Lebanon’s Chief Prosecutor canceled the arrest of the ship, which Kyiv suspects of carrying stolen Ukrainian grain. This was reported by Reuters on Tuesday, August 2.
According to the source, the prosecutor did not find the corpus delicti.
Because of this, the ship was allowed to sail. However, Laodicea still couldn’t get away because of the second arrest warrant. It was carried out by a judge in Tripoli, where the ship was moored.
It will be recalled that Lebanon seized a ship full of barley and wheat flour, while investigating the origin of the cargo, which may have been stolen by Russian invaders in Ukraine.
In addition, the first ship with Ukrainian grain left the port of Odessa. This is the ship RAZONI with the flag of Sierra Leone, bound for the port of Tripoli in Lebanon.
