The leaders of France, Canada, Australia, Great Britain and Portugal have announced the recognition of Palestinian state countries.
The Palestinian liberation organization announced an independent Palestinian state in 1988. To date, 147 of the 193 UN member states have been recognized by Palestinian State-Mexico the last in January of this year.
Israel’s main allies, the United States has long stated that over time they recognize the Palestinian state, but only after the creation of the Palestinian state near Israel on the west coast, including the east of Jerusalem and the fuel sector, it corresponds to the boundaries that exist before the request of 1967.
The situation with recognition
Palestine has a high degree of international recognition, has diplomatic missions abroad and teams participating in international sports competitions, including Olympic games.
Palestinian diplomatic missions worldwide are controlled by Palestinian autonomy, recognized at the international level as a representative of the Palestinian people.
However, due to the ongoing conflict of the Palestinians along with Israel, he had no boundaries to the international level, neither the capital, nor the army. Due to Israel’s work of the West Coast, the Palestinian administration, created after the 1990s signing of Oslo, did not fully control its territory and population.
Palestinian autonomy, chaired by Mahmoud Abbas, carries limited self -government to some parts of the west coast occupied by Israel in accordance with Israel. He issued Palestinian passports and manages Palestinian health and education systems.
Pressure for Israel
Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he will never be a Palestinian state. Last year, Netanyahu said Israel should control security throughout the territory west of the Jordan river, that is, the territory needed to create any future Palestinian state.
“This is a necessary condition, and it contradicts the idea of Palestinian sovereignty. What to do? I say this fact to our American friends. I also stopped trying to impose a fact that could cause Israel’s safety,” Netanyahu said.
The delegation that represents the state of Palestine has the status of an observer in the United Nations, but has no right to vote.
The leaders of Canada, Australia and Great Britain on Sunday announced the recognition of the Palestinian state of their countries. These countries say that in this way they want to put pressure on Israel to stop destructive gas attacks, reduce the construction of new Jewish repairs to the covered western coast and the continuation of the peace process with the Palestinants.
French president Emmanuel Macron, the leader of the first great west power supported the recognition, said this step will be accompanied by the obligation of Palestinian autonomy to conduct reforms that will improve management and make it a more reliable partner for post -war gas control.
US position
Only those who are considered recognizing as a symbolic gesture suggest that the influence on the conflict of countries such as China, India, Russia, and many Arab states recognizing Palestine’s independence several decades ago, were limited.
Israel limits access to goods, investments, educational or cultural delegations. There are no airports in Palestine. The west coast without an exit to the sea can only be reached by Israel or by the border with the Jordan controlled by Israel. Israel also controls almost all access to the gas sector.
The United States is determined to oppose the steps of their European allies to identify. In response, they imposed sanctions against Palestinian officials, including forbidden Abbas and other Palestinian autonomy numbers to participate in the UN General Assembly, who declined to issue visas and cancel already.
US President Donald Trump has previously said that Hamas may encourage recognition of the Palestinian state. But when he was asked about this at a joint meeting with Kir Seerier following the results of his visit to the State in the UK, Trump had just mentioned that he had “disagreement” with an old man on this issue, added to the most convincing that it was one of the “some disagreement” between them.
