The President of Turkey replied if the Russian war against Ukraine could end in the near future.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan did not believe in the early end of the war in Ukraine. He said this in an interview with Fox News.
“I don’t really believe the war in Ukraine will end soon. It’s bad news,” said the Turkish leader.
Erdogan also expressed the belief that Europe could not forever provide economic assistance to Ukraine, and Ukraine itself could not compete in Russia. Despite this, the Turkish president announced the hope that Ukraine’s support from the partners would continue.
“We hope this support will continue,” Erdogan emphasized.
Answering the question of how the NATO should respond to Russia’s provocations to Poland and Estonia’s airspace, the politician said NATO should use the “Turkish model”.
“I think NATO can use the Turkish model, which we use both in relationships with Russia and Ukraine. We work in a peace model in these regions,” Erdogan said.
We will remind you, earlier the Turkish president said the Ukrainian leader and the leader of Russia were not prepared for a bilateral conference at the end of the war.
