Gotland Sentry’s teachings provide a clear signal of readiness for joint defense as part of regional security architecture, Warsaw said.
In the Baltic Sea, Bilateral Military training of Poland and Sweden Gotland Sentry (Gotland Guard) began. It became known on Monday, September 22.
“Poland and Sweden are together to ensure the safety of the Baltic Sea. We started the teachings of Snex Gotland Sentry-the first joint operation of this type between Poland and Sweden in history,” said the National Defense Minister of Poland Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh on Social Network X.
He added that this was the result of a cooperation agreement in the field of defense signed on September 2 of this year. The document covers, in particular, joint operation in the Baltic Sea and the development of cooperation in the field of defense technologies.
Poland’s armed forces noted that the purpose of Gotland Sentry is a manifestation of the capabilities of Polish and Swedish armed forces to quickly deploy specialized components in the wind, sea and soil, as well as to operate collective defense methods.
The main element is the development of the operational compatibility and ability of the order in the international situation, as well as an in -Depth review of security problems in the Baltic Sea region.
“Gose teachings not only strengthen military relations, but also provide a clear signal of restraint and readiness for joint defense within the regional security architecture in the region,” Poland’s military added.
Remember, on September 12, it was learned that NATO was starting to run the Eastern Guard (Eastern Sentry). These maneuvers are the response of the alliance to the invasion of Russian drones to Poland’s airspace on September 10.
