Anti -Corruption authorities have completed an investigation in the case of road robbery -millions of hryvnias in the purchase of products for the armed forces of Ukraine during an entire war. This was reported by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau’s press service on Friday, September 19.
During 2022-2023, the products for the army were purchased by so-called sets according to the approved catalog, a total of 409 items. The most used, such as vegetables, cereals, meat, water, consists of only 10% of the assortment. The rest, such as spices, gelatin or berry, are rarely ordered or never.
It is noted that the price of the kit has been formed considering all the names of the catalog and at an average cost. It allows suppliers to manipulate prices: to overtake them to operate products and underestimated them in unprofitable or unable to order due to the time of supplies (cherries or apricots in winter).
Such a fraud led to the illegal acceptance of superprofits at a sum of more than 733 million hryvnias with two companies controlled by the same -owner. Nabu emphasized that it was confirmed by the results of a comprehensive investigation and economic evaluation.
Some of these funds were brought under the leadership of the payment of dividends and financial assistance to relevant companies. The owner of the companies can spend this money on buying hotels in Croatia and other real estate. Currently, the circumstances of the acquisition of such possession have been clarified.
Currently, the Ministry of Defense is changing the arrival of the acquisition to prevent the repetition of such schemes.
The list of suspects includes:

Individuals.
They are declared suspicious of waste loss, losses and legalization.
Keep in mind that in 2023 the media reported that the Ministry of Defense allegedly purchased products twice as long as they were in the Kyiv stores.
The head of the Ministry of Defense, Alexei Reznikov, rejected the persecution, explaining the scandal of a number of errors in the contracts. He also called the situation “an artificial attack of information under a fiction pretext.” However, the Director of the Department of Getting the Ministry of Defense was fired. Reznikov later identified contract errors for the nutrition of the Armed Forces.
