The sale of gasoline in Russia fell to a two -a minimum against the rear of attacks by Ukrainian drones and demanded during the harvest.
This week, wholesale fuel sales in Russia reached a two -a minimum, as prices continue to beat the records. The deficiency was intensified by stopping oil refineries after attacking Ukrainian drones and high demand from farmers.
Sales dropped by almost 20%
According to the Russian newspaper, the Kommersant, the sales of A-92 fuel in St. Petersburg Stock Exchange on September 16 fell 21.7% to 15,600 tons, which is the lowest level from 2023.
The A-95 sales dropped by 15.5% compared to the previous day, up to 12,060 tons.
As a result, total fuel sales in the exchange were reduced by 19.1% to 27,700 tons.
Among the factors in which the decrease in fuel sales is associated, the media call has not been scheduled to stop many large oil refineries in the Russian Federation, but the reasons for the stops are not specified.
Ukrainian Force Majeure and Closing Gas Station
Note that last week a unit of special operations of Ukraine struck Volgograd oil refinery, located in southern Russia. This company is the largest manufacturer of oil products in the Southern Federal District of the Russian Federation and provides fuel and lubricant of the Russian army.
On Monday night and early morning, on Tuesday, the Ukrainian Special Forces struck Saratov Oil Refinery, which further increased the interruptions of the delivery.
As a result, some Russian oil refineries have expressed majeure strength and prevented fuel transmission, accelerating the fatigue of local fuel reserves.
Independent networks of gas stations are most affected, as suppliers give the priority to be given to large networks.
Two independent networks, each with about 20 stations, has been suspended by retail sales and now they sell fuel only under long -term contracts.
Another cause of deficiency
The stops of oil refineries also match the increase in demand. The fall on sales is especially due to high demand from Russian farmers during the severe harvest period in September-October.
“Participants in the market are afraid that fuel supplies in September may be jailed because of the unscheduled repair of oil refineries, and its significant sales are not supported by real resources in the last week of August,” Russia’s media writing.
