Berlin is delaying the issue of giving Kyiv eight billion euros, said Igor Zhovkva, deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Germany blocks an eight billion euro aid package to Ukraine. This is what the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Igor Zhovkva said in a briefing on Tuesday, August 2.
“We expect another eight billion euros to be provided. Unfortunately, some EU states, in particular Germany, are obstructing the consideration of this issue, and the President of Ukraine is actively negotiating with his partners,” he said.
Let’s remember that the supply of weapons to Ukraine from Germany was slowed down by the department of Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Bundestag Defense Committee, Marie-Agyness Strack-Zimmermann.
Earlier, the media also reported that Germany was disrupting the supply of weapons to partners. Berlin admitted that despite lengthy negotiations with Poland, Slovenia, Greece and the Czech Republic, it has not signed a contract with any of these countries.
